More than 2,300 contract protest cases have gone through the Government Accountability Office in 2011 — more than year since 1995.

Lee Dougherty, who leads the government contracts practice group at General Counsel, P.C., joined In Depth with Francis Rose to discuss the protest numbers.

Dougherty discussed how compliance measures up this year compared to previous years as well as what agencies can do to cut down on contract protests in the first place.
