The top lawyer for U.S. Cyber Command, Air Force Col. Gary Brown, has called the Stuxnet attack the model of a responsibly conducted cyber attack, according to a post on AOL Defense.
At an event hosted by Catherine Lotrionte, the executive director of George Washington University’s Institute for Law, Science and Global Security, Brown said it seemed like lawyers had been involved in Stuxnet’s creation because it was very narrowly targeted and exhibited a “conscientious effort” to limit collateral damage, AOL Defense reported.
Lotrionte, the former assistant general counsel at the CIA, joined In Depth with Francis Rose to discuss Col. Brown’s remarks and Stuxnet more broadly.
