Congress is already starting on the fiscal 2015 budget. They didn’t wait for the White House’s budget request this week. Bryan Clark, senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, writes for our special report, “Now or Never: Ideas to Save the Failing Budget Process.” Clark writes we should accept the budget process is very political.
The Obama Administration’s budget request for 2015 and military strategy for the next four years are both out. Some experts worry the link between money in the budget and strategy in the Quadrennial Defense Review may be weak or missing.
