In honor of its upcoming 50th Anniversary, federal agencies are recognizing the out-sized influence Star Trek has had on American culture.

The U.S. Postal Service dedicated a new line of stamps to the show.

And the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum, in addition to featuring the studio model of the original Enterprise, is hosting events in honor of the anniversary.
