A lot has changed since then.

One group has made suggestions on updating that law.

Ari Schwartz is Vice President and COO of the Center for Democracy and Technology, and is a member of the Information Security and Privacy Advisory Board.

They’ve just released a new report to provide the framework for an updated privacy law.
