OMB scrutinizes agency IT spending

Billions of dollars spent on IT systems are coming under review this summer.

The Office of Management and Budget believes agencies are spending more than $10 billion on technology projects that are off schedule or over budget or both.

As Federal News Radio told you earlier this month, agency financial systems are first on hit list.

But now in a second memo from OMB, every agency technology system is coming under the administration’s microscope.
