Recovery Board works to make data fully transparent

Spending data about the Recovery Act is hung up by arduous federal rules for identifying contract and grant awards.

Earl DeVaney is the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board’s chairman.

He says until agencies become more consistent in how they categorize contract and grant award information, full transparency of Recovery Act spending will not happen.
