Still few women in management, report says
A GAO study finds women accounted for 40 percent of managers in the U.S. workforce in 2007, New York Times reports.
A Government Accountability Office study finds women accounted for 40 percent of managers in the U.S. workforce in 2007, The New York Times reports.
The study looked at managers across 13 industries. In all but three, women had a smaller share of management positions than in the industry’s overall workforce.
A female manager also makes less money, earning 87 cents for every dollar paid to a male manager.
