You have technical workers? How do you ensure that they have the right training? The FAA has more than 6,000 highly-trained technicians to maintain current facilities and equipment. But those workers are also going to be responsible for maintaining the FAA’s new Next Generation Air Traffic Control system, which will be rolled out over the next 15 years. Talk about change management.

The Government Accountability Office has just completed its assessment of FAA’s efforts to plan for and train its technician workforce.
Gerald Dillingham, the Director of Physical Infrastructure Issues at GAO, discussed the report with the DorobekINSIDER.
