October 7, 2014 — It takes three guests to explain changes in healthcare acquisition.
Today’s guests are Kathy Minchew, Federal Government sales consultant with Federal Insights, Denise Rainey, president and CEO, Rainmakers Strategic Solutions, and Diana Ceban, business development manager, Optimal Solutions and Technologies.
All three have experience in the current issues with procuring federal information technology products and services for healthcare.
The conversation started off with general guidelines on how federal program managers could navigate the FAR process.
It’s always a challenge for a procurement specialist to save time, get results, and encourage open communication.
The challenge discussed is how to remain in contact with prospective vendors after a request for proposal is released.
The RFP itself was examined from many angles. These topics included timing, size, maturity of requirements, as well as the contract type.
Minchew will be moderating a panel discussion that addresses these same issues.
The discussion is hosted by the HiMSS Chapter. It will take place on October 16, 2014 at the Key Bridge Marriott at 5:30PM.
