Mike Pompeo has been nominated to lead the State Department, but what shape is the agency in and how does its workplace compare to other large federal agencies?
The 2017 Best Places to Work data also found that the State Department’s senior leaders score dropped by 9.2 points. This was the steepest drop in the senior leadership category among large agencies, and the agency’s lowest score for the category since the rankings began. Meanwhile, the biggest category gain at the department from 2016 to 2017 was for teamwork.
