A charity organization in the United Kingdom has deployed a unified communications solution to improve services it provides.
The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) will implement the technology to make it easier for victims to access the helpline through instant messaging and email, a British news provider reports.
NSPCC CIO Phil Reed says the development allows people to come “as close to the face-to-face experience as possible”.
“The system will use a full range of communications channels, some of which are already in wide use by young children and teenagers.”
NSPCC, which was founded in 1884, is urging friends, family and neighbors in its new campaign to better alert the organizion if a young person’s health and well-being are in jeopardy.
