The U.S. Computer Readiness Emergency Team (US-CERT) is warning of potential email scams requesting donations for the Japan earthquake and tsunami.

US-CERT, part of Department of Homeland Security, says the emails may contain links or attachments that direct users to malware-laden websites.

US-CERT says fake donation requests for charitable organizations commonly appear after these types of natural disasters.
