Karen Evans, Federal News Radio
Karen S. Evans is serving as the National Director for the US Cyber Challenge (USCC). The USCC is the nationwide talent search and skills development program focused specifically on the cyber workforce. She serves as an independent director and outside manager for publicly traded companies as well as a Voice of Authority for Safegov.org, an on-line forum specifically focused on cloud computing policy issues. She is also an independent consultant in the areas of leadership, management and the strategic use of information technology. She retired after nearly 28 years of federal government service with responsibilities ranging from a GS-2 to Presidential Appointee as the Administrator for E-Government and Information Technology at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) within the Executive Office of the President.

Michael J. Levin, Director of Security Design and Innovation, Department of Health and Human Services
Michael Levin is the Director of Security Design & Innovation (SDI) within The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). SDI is a unique portion of the HHS Office of information Security (OIS) that is focused on solving complex security problems facing the federated HHS enterprise. As the Director of SDI, Michael uses his background as a forensic analyst, consultant, attorney and entrepreneur to lead a diverse team of security architects & SME’s as they tackle common problems across the enterprise. Michael is a DC and Illinois licensed attorney with a background in information security law. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), GIAC Law of Data Security & Investigations (GLEG), GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC) and EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE). Prior to joining HHS, Michael was a consultant with Deloitte & Touché, with a cliental specialization of incident response within the Federal space. Earlier in his career, Michael was an Investigative Attorney with the U.S. Office of Special Counsel. He has previously conducted investigations on matters ranging from IP theft to child pornography, and public corruption. Michael is originally from Chicago and currently resides with his family in Washington, DC.
Dave McClure, Chief Strategist at the Veris Group and former Associate Administrator at GSA’s Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies
As Chief Strategist of Veris Group, Dave works closely with federal and state agencies to implement cloud strategies and technologies to secure and modernize IT, enhance business performance, and achieve high performance results. He refines corporate strategies and develops joint solutions with the company’s leading industry partners. Dave served as the Associate Administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Office of Citizen Services and Innovative Technologies from August 2009 until May 2014. As a leading political appointee for the Obama Administration in charge of federal IT innovation, he transformed his office into a powerful engine for making government operations more open, transparent, and participatory.
Kevin Stine, Manager of the Security Outreach and Integration Group, Computer Security Division, NIST
Kevin Stine is the Manager of the Security Outreach and Integration Group in NIST’s Computer Security Division. The group focuses on the mission-specific application of security standards, guidelines, and technologies to help organizations manage cybersecurity risk. Kevin also recently co-led development of the Framework for Reducing Cyber Risk to Critical Infrastructure which was developed in response to Executive Order 13636.
