The Office of Personnel Management and the Labor Department are teaming up to try to halt the decline of disabled employees in the federal government. Later today, the agencies are hosting the invitation-only Federal Hiring Event for People with Disabilities. OPM hopes this will be the first of many events aimed at recruiting disabled workers. Technology has become important part of the effort. Dinah Cohen is the Computer and Electronics Accommodations Program Director at the Defense Department. She gave us a look at DOD’s programs for disabled workers.
