NIH providing satisfaction on the web

Four federal websites meet or exceed the private sector\'s highest score. How? Why? We ask Joyce Backus at NIH.

Researchers have found a link between NetFlix.com — you know, the popular video rental service — and some government Web sites. Customer satisfaction. The latest ASCI rating gives four federal sites the same, or in some cases better scores than NetFlix.com — which had the best private sector rating. Included in the mix are sites from the Social Security Administration and one from the National Institutes of Health. That one is called MedlinePlus.gov. Joyce Backus is the deputy chief in the public services division of the National Library of Medicine at NIH. She joins us now with the secrets to making people happy on the Web.
