Pres. Obama has chosen his replacement for the retiring General Chilton

  • President Obama has chosen the person in charge of the Air Force Space Command to lead U.S. Strategic Command. General C. Robert Kehler would replace the retiring General Kevin Chilton. Kehler still faces Senate confirmation. Strategic Command is one of 10 unified commands under D-O-D. It employes more than 3,000 people from all four military services. That number includes Defense civilians and contractors.
