Open Season is a good time to review your needs for health insurance, but you might also want to check on your life insurance. Feds can buy insurance regardless of their medical history through the Federal Employees Group Life Insurance program, or FEGLI. But registered employee benefit consultant Ed Zurndorfer says you should do some comparison-shopping, to make sure you’re not paying too much.
