You remember swine flu. Now, think of a similar epidemic — online. Computer Weekly reports that some I-T security experts are worried about a cyber-equivalent to the 2009 swine flu epidemic unless there’s more public education and global cooperation. Eddy Willems with security firm GData, says that when swine flu became a global threat, President Obama appealed to the public to wash their hands and cover their mouths when they sneeze. Similarly, world leaders should try to educate the public about preventing the spread of computer viruses. He says the Stuxnet attack proved that current levels of cooperation are not sufficient.
