Learn more in today\'s Cybersecurity Update

Cyberforensics is the science of finding and securing digital evidence buried deep within company networks. It is fast emerging as a global industry. USA Today reports three major players are spearheading cyberforensics research. PricewaterhouseCoopers, which has just hired several former law enforcement agents and prosecutors; Verizon Business has pumped more than $50 million into cyberforensics-related services; and Stroz Friedberg, a private CSI-like company, recently received a $115 million investment from private equity firm New Mountain Capital to open new offices across the U.S., Europe and Asia. Experts say demand for cyberforensics is being driven by the complexity of security issues that companies are facing. In addition, organizations need help preserving and extracting digital records, for civil lawsuits and regulatory audits.
