More hackers expected to target Facebook

Facebook\'s revamped Messages will be a very attractive target for spammers, scammers and malware makers, according to security experts.

Facebook’s new e-mail service will be an irresistible target for spammers, scammers and malicious hackers. Computerworld reports, security researchers base their prediction on the fact that messages on regular Facebook are not filtered in any way. Facebook launched its e-mail service this week, to compete with G-Mail from Google. The company says it has implemented security protections including anti-spam filtering. Chet Wizniewski of security vendor Sophos points to the all-in-one box, where e-mail will be mixed with unfiltered Facebook messages.
