The government has broken ground in Utah on a $1.5 billion National Security Administration data center. They’re calling it the Utah Data Center, but it already has a nickname – “The Spy Center.”

The official name is the Community Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative Data Center. It is the first in the nation’s intelligence community.

Deseret News reports the facility will be responsible for aggregating and verifying huge volumes of data for the intelligence community. The Army Corps of Engineers is overseeing the project.
