The Homeland Security Department is looking to secure the cash for a next generation cyber detection and attack prevention system. It’s called Einstein 3 and DHS has requested $230 million dollars in its 2012 budget request so they can get it up and running. Einstein 3 was developed by the National Security Agency. InfoSecurity.com reports, it would automate responses to unauthorized hacks into government networks. The system also expands information sharing by the US Computer Emergency Readiness Team, and allows automatic US-CERT alerts.
