Some inventors want to build a better mousetrap. NASA scientists want to build a better airplane. Better means it flies farther on a tankful of fuel and makes less noise doing so. NASA’s Subsonic Fixed Wing Project works with the aviation industry in a program to help invent the next generation of aircraft. We got an update from Richard Wahls, project scientist for the project.
