The Federal Trade Commission reaching a settlement with two companies over data breaches that exposed the personal information of 65,000 employees. Ceridian is a human resources firm and Look Out Services is an immigration law firm. The FTC says both kept large amounts of sensitive data about the employees of their business partners, including social security numbers, without proper security. That led to data breaches at both companies. Infosecurity.com reports, the FTC has ordered the both firms to put an information security program in place and conduct independent security audits ever other year for 20 years.
