Lawmakers have been chipping away at federal pay and benefits in the fight to cut spending and reduce the deficit. But some suggest a radically different approach may be the solution. A true market-based labor system would establish federal pay levels comparable to that of major private-sector employees in similar jobs. John Palguta, vice president for policy at the Partnership for Public Service joined the Federal Drive with more on how that kind of system could work.
