The Defense Department has announced new opportunities for service members and wounded veterans who are now returning home from Iraq and Afghanistan.
DoD cited a Small Business Administration program called “Entrepreneurship Boot Camp for Veterans with Disabilities.”
The nine-day course shows wounded veterans how to start and grow small businesses. So far, more than 320 wounded warriors have graduated from the program and have launched 150 businesses, Defense.gov reports.
There are other programs, as well, targeted toward specific populations. “Women Veterans Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship” is designed for women, while “Operation Endure and Grow” is for National Guard and reserve members and their families.
