Budget cuts are not coming only for executive branch agencies. Congress is preparing to tighten it’s own belt too.
One of the affected Congressional agencies is the Library of Congress.
Jeff Page, the chief financial officer, joined the Federal Drive with Tom Temin and Amy Morris from the Excellence in Government conference in Washington, D.C. to discuss how the Library is preparing its budget for possible cuts.
Page, who has experience working in both the Executive and legislative branches, describes how the budget-making process is different from each perspective.
Page will also give his perspective as part of a panel discussion “Budget Cuts: Reading the Tea Leaves” at the conference.
He also discussed how the Library will maintain operations with a smaller budget share and the role that technology plays in doing so.
