Since 2011, approximately 13,000 Afghan and Iraqi nationals have resettled in the U.S. under special immigration visas. While the State and Health and Human Services departments collect information to keep track of them, that’s only for a short period after their arrival. The Government Accountability Office recommends changing that. Federal News Radio’s Eric White spoke with Kathryn Larin, director of Education, Workforce, and Income Security Issues at GAO on Federal Drive with Tom Temin.
