If chief information officers are considered the highest technology department positions, then the federal government is doing relatively better than industry at naming women to those jobs. Among the nation’s largest companies, only 17 percent of CIO jobs are held by women. So does the government offer more opportunities? Laura Criste, analyst at Bloomberg Government, discussed the issue on Federal Drive with Tom Temin.
