Traveling with children can be great fun, as well as stressful. Careful planning will make the trip more enjoyable for everyone.

When you’re packing for the kids — especially the smaller ones — think about putting an entire outfit into one baggie. By putting socks, underwear, shirts and pants (or shorts) in one bag, there won’t be a hassle finding clothes in the morning, and your child will have a coordinated outfit.

Bring plastic clothespins so you can hang wet clothes up to dry. Pack small flashlights so the room light doesn’t have to be turned on when someone needs to use the toilet in the middle of the night. Or bring a plug in nightlight if it will work in the country you are visiting.

And most of all, have fun!
