Civilian, military, and intelligence agencies are one step closer to working from the same cybersecurity page. The National Institute of Standards and Technology, Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Committee on National Security Systems have, according to NIST, “released the first installment of a three-year effort to build a unified information security framework for the entire federal government.” Ron Ross of NIST told me why it’s important.
