June 24, 2010 — Andy Purdy, former cyber security advisor in the White House and a man instrumental to setting up the Homeland Security Department’s National Cyber Security Division, is our guest on this week’s Federal Security Spotlight.
Purdy is also co-director of the International Cyber Center at George Mason University and the chief cyber security strategist at CSC.
Purdy says agencies need to take an architectural approach to cyber security and get with the continuous monitoring program. And he comments on the various legislative proposals now before Congress dealing with cyber security.
