Ron Sanders is credited with driving big transformations all over government HR. His nearly 4-decade career spans human capital work at the IRS, Defense Department and Homeland Security. His most recent federal job was chief human capital officer for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. Among his accomplishments, a civilian joint duty program for the intelligence community. That program requires senior career leaders to work at other agencies to rack up experience from other parts of government. Sanders retired from government earlier this year. He’s a finalist in the Career Achievement Sammies category, and he joins us to discuss his long stint with the federal government.
