Has the buzzing from florescent lights ever bothered you? Imagine being on a submarine with all of those lights, including inches from your head in your bunk. Stephanie Everett and Master Chief Charles Ziervogel are program officers for the Office of Naval Research’s TechSolutions program. They developed a quieter, greener alternative to florescent lights after a sailor complained about the noise.
