The Defense Department is looking for the next joint strike missile. The new Joint Air to Ground Missile would replace three long serving weapons including the legendary Hellfire. DoD Buzz reports, the new missile contract will continue the Pentagon’s trend of super high-stakes competitions where all the marbles are on the line. Lockheed Martin, Boeing and Raytheon are all competing for the billion dollar contract. But many in Washington are worried that the missile contract won’t even get off the ground with the DoD facing major budget cuts.
