The House Appropriations Committee has approved the $649 billion spending budget for the Defense Department.

The fiscal 2012 DoD appropriations bill includes $118 billion for foreign wars, Yahoo News reports.

The bill will now go to the full House for consideration later this month.

The Senate is still working on its version of the bill.
