Besides, according to U.S. officials, their tool kit doesn’t match the heavily scientific and medically-oriented information collection needs of a crisis like this. Some of their tactics might be of use at some point, but some in the intelligence community say they have a high degree of confidence in the CDC to take care of its own information collection needs.
