Stress is a bigger problem in today’s stretched military than ever. And the four branches of the military are paying more attention to stress than ever. High-level uniformed members of each of the branches told the House Armed Services Military Personnel subcommittee last week what each of their branches are doing to reduce stress and prevent suicides in their ranks. The witness panel included General Peter Chiarelli, Vice Chief of Staff for the Army; Admiral Patrick Walsh, Vice Chief of Naval Operations for the Navy; General James Amos, Assistant Commandant for the Marine Corps; and General William Fraser, Vice Chief of Staff for the Air Force.
