The IRS today announced 32 new members of its Taxpayer Advocacy Panel (TAP).

The panel has a total of 102 volunteers from all across the country. The 32 were selected from a group of more than 500 applicants all hoping to provide important taxpayer feedback.

The panelists “provide the IRS with invaluable insights to ensure that the taxpaying public has a voice in the tax administration process,” said IRS commissioner Doug Shulman in a release Friday.

The panelists focus on helping the IRS with topics such as wage and investment and small business or self-employed operating divisions.

Each panelist serves for three years and is expected to put in at least 300 hours of service a year.
