Navy’s Wounded Warrior program boosts vet hiring

The Naval Sea Systems Command received the ERE Recruiting Excellence Award for Best Military Talent program for its Wounded Warrior hiring program.

The Obama administration is asking your agency to hire more veterans.

The Naval Sea Systems Command has found a way to beat its goal for hiring a certain group of vets – wounded warriors – by more than 200 percent.

The command has done it through an award-winning talent program that begins in military treatment facilities. The Command received the ERE Recruiting Excellence Award for Best Military Talent program for its Wounded Warrior hiring program.

Vice Admiral Kevin McCoy, head of Naval Sea Systems Command, explains the recruiting strategies.
