The Department of Defense (DoD) is using weapons systems that have been around for a long time. Some of them have been around for so long that their manufacturers don’t support them any more, or don’t even exist.

But the Pentagon may not be doing as well as it could to make sure it has the information it needs for the life of the systems it’s buying.
