The Defense Department isn’t just looking for cost savings by canceling weapons programs or closing bases. Pentagon officials see billions in savings by changing some of the department’s most basic processes. Beth McGrath is DoD’s deputy chief management officer. She tells reporter Jason Miller about the military’s effort to take more of the cost out of its operations.
