ISC2, a nonprofit focusing on IT security and education, announced the winners of its Government Information Security Leadership Awards.

In a variety of categories, the awards aim to showcase innovative efforts to keep the nation’s assets safe.

Davin Knolton, the assistant chief of staff at the Army Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., won the award — just announced yesterday — in the Process/Policy Improvement category.

Knolton, who created a system that searches for, finds and remediates classified information on unclassified systems, joined the Federal Drive with Tom Temin and Amy Morris to discuss his idea.
