Budget cuts are coming to the Pentagon, either through supercommittee cuts or sequestration. But a new strategy may be an effective weapon in both the budget fight, and fights against our enemies. Andrew Krepinevich, president and CEO at the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments, writes in the LA Times, “Arguably the greatest strategic choice concerns how best to respond to China’s rapid rise as a major power.” He tells In Depth with Francis Rose about that strategy.
