McCook new Marine Corps leader in Europe, Africa

Sgt. Maj. James McCook is the new senior enlisted leader of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Europe and Africa.

Sgt. Maj. James McCook is the new senior enlisted leader of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Europe and Africa.

He replaces Sgt. Maj. Ronald Green who is heading to Camp Pendleton in California.

“He was carefully screened for the position and comes with a great reputation,” said Lt. Gen. John M. Paxton Jr., commander of U.S. Marine Corps Forces Africa, about McCook, on the Marines website. “We have great expectations that he will take us to the next level.”

The official relief and appointment ceremony took place at U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart earlier this week.
