Some changes will come to the highest levels of the Defense Department if the National Defense Authorization Act becomes law. Federal News Radio Executive Editor Jason Miller says the deputy chief management officer will become the undersecretary of defense for business management and information starting Feb. 1, 2017. The NDAA includes language that will merge the DoD CIO and performance improvement officer into the new undersecretary position.
