The Library of Congress held the National Book Festival over the weekend. Stephen King was recognized for his contributions to literacy.

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was also on hand with an important message about reading.

Representative John Lewis (D-Ga.) also appeared, doing a book signing, taking part in a panel on graphic novels (his memoirs of the civil rights movement, entitled “March,” take the form of a graphic novel trilogy), and taking pictures with Librarian of Congress Carla Hayden.
