VA centralizes approach to training acquisition workers

WFED\'s Jason Miller reports.

The Veterans Affairs Department has centralized and standardized its approach to training its acquisition workers.

And maybe more importantly for the agency, they are taking steps to keep the pipeline of contracting officers and program managers flowing as more and more employees retire.

Lisa Doyle is the chancellor of the Department of Veterans Affairs Acquisition Academy.

She tells our own Jason Miller at the Management of Change conference earlier this week about the impact the academy is having on the VA.
