How can you get people to buy into a new idea?

Harvard business professor John Kotter offers tips in the book he co-wrote, “Buy-In: Saving Your Good Idea from Getting Shot Down.”

Kotter begins the book with a fictional story to demonstrate how to save good ideas, according to his blog post in the Harvard Business Review.

The story includes characters who will “attack” your idea in different ways, and Kotter’s suggestions of how to deflect each particular kind of attack.
